Philosophy behind our Service

“least cost, fastest to deploy solutions that meet the needs of the community”

We match our Solutions to your Needs

The type of rural markets serviced by County Broadband tend to mean we favour wireless deployments, but we are able to deploy a range of technologies to provide broadband to you.  Crucial to our recommendations will be the need to balance project costs against the returns available and the project delivery time needed.  Our focus is always on achieving practical solutions and as such we focus our efforts on least cost, fastest to deploy solutions that meet the needs of the community and fit the description of Next Generation Broadband (NGA).

Fundamental to our philosophy is the need to provide a rural broadband service that is affordable, professionally managed and fully supported.

Why Rural Areas Have Missed Out on Broadband

Traditional deployment methods use fibre and/or copper technology to deliver high-speed broadband services.  This is highly expensive in terms of capital investment and as a consequence many rural communities, who are either too far from the nearest enabled exchanges and/or simply not very highly populated areas, are ignored by mainstream providers in favour of more urban based deployments.  This largely because the traditional “hardwired” business approach means mainstream broadband companies are unable to justify the investment required against the likely returns available.

Wireless Broadband: Least Cost, Fastest to Deploy.

County Broadband favours alternative wireless technologies which provides a “least cost, fastest to deploy” solution and lowers the capital investment required sufficiently to allow the needs of smaller communities to be addressed.  Unlike the major network providers, our policy as a rural broadband supplier is to provide for smaller “niche” markets. These offer considerably lower financial returns than those expected from more urban deployments.  Our business model works through our ability to build and aggregate these smaller niche market opportunities.
